NIGERIAN CORRECTIONAL SERVICE HONOURS TWO SENIOR OFFICERS AT RETIREMENT.

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) on 25th July, 2025 held a grand farewell celebration in honour of two distinguished senior management officers who have meritoriously retired after decades of dedicated service to the nation.

The event, which took place at the NCoS National Headquarters in Abuja, was attended by the Controller-General of Corrections Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, top management staff and other senior officers.

The retiring officers—DCG (CD) Inmates Training and Productivity, Charles Nkem Ogwude (Rtd) and ACG Pharm. Nwachukwu Stanley the GM of Nipripharm Drug and Research Center Kuje, Abuja —were celebrated for their outstanding contributions to the Service, staff mentorship, and national security. Their careers, spanning over three decades, were marked by professionalism, discipline, and innovation in service delivery.

Highlighting their career milestones, citations were read and retirement packages presented, followed by an outpouring of encomiums and best wishes from colleagues and subordinates alike. Emotional tributes were also paid by colleagues who shared memories of selfless service and enduring legacy.

The event featured prayer session and emotional parting words of advice by the retiring officers reinforcing the bond and camaraderie that define the NCoS community.

The Nigerian Correctional Service congratulates the retiring officers on their successful service careers and wishes them a fulfilling retirement in good health and peace of mind.
