Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has addressed an open letter to  United States President Donald Trump, refuting claims of targeted killings of Christians in Nigeria.

In the letter, Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the United Kingdom, described the allegations as untrue.

Keyamo, who was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasized his Christian background and decades of human rights activism, stating that he would not associate with a government that targets Christians.

The minister attributed the country’s security challenges to groups like Boko Haram, herdsmen, and cattle rustlers, and praised President Tinubu’s efforts to combat these threats.

Keyamo highlighted President Tinubu’s track record of promoting interfaith harmony, noting that his wife is a pastor and most of his children are practicing Christians.

The letter concluded with an appeal to the US government for understanding, support, and cooperation in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges.
