Nigerian Music Mogul Don Jazzy Rekindles Friendship with Wizkid, Fans React

Published

on

Renowned music executive Michael Collins Ajere, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has rekindled his friendship with Afrobeat sensation Wizkid, a year after their highly publicized rift.

On Tuesday, the Mavins founder took to his Instagram page to share a heartwarming photo of himself and Wizkid seated together, accompanied by an elephant and eagle emoji. This gesture has sparked widespread excitement among fans.

The reconciliation comes after a tumultuous period between the two, which began when Wizkid seemingly disparaged Don Jazzy’s influence in the music industry. The situation escalated when Wizkid’s fans unearthed a 2020 tweet where Don Jazzy referred to himself as an influencer, further straining their relationship.

However, thanks to the intervention of Ayra Starr, whose album “The Year I Turned 21” played a pivotal role in their reconciliation, the two music industry heavyweights have put their differences aside. Wizkid publicly praised Ayra Starr’s album, prompting Don Jazzy to express his gratitude, which ultimately led to a renewed sense of respect and admiration between them.

As expected, Don Jazzy’s fans have reacted enthusiastically to the photo, celebrating the renewed friendship between the two music industry giants.
