Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed his support for the bill that seeks to increase the salaries of judges at all levels.
He said that increasing the salaries of judges is the right thing to do, and thanked the executive for taking this step. He also emphasized that the judiciary should not be the only sector to receive attention, and that other sectors of the economy should also be looked at.
The bill, which was sponsored by Senator Bamidele, Michael Opeyemi, has received unanimous support and has been referred to the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters for further legislative input.
