Our goal Isn’t just to defeat APC in 2027 but to rebuild Nigeria from failed leadership—Rabiu Kwankwaso
According to Independent News, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has broken his silence on recent political moves by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has reportedly made repeated efforts to convince him to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a comprehensive statement issued on Saturday, Kwankwaso confirmed that President Tinubu personally reached out to him several times, offering enticing terms and reassurances to facilitate his re-entry into the ruling party.
Kwankwaso made it clear he would prefer to exit the political scene entirely rather than rejoin a party that, in his view, has abandoned fairness and principle.
He went further to criticise both the Buhari administration and the current Tinubu-led government, faulting the APC’s track record on critical national issues such as rising insecurity, widespread hunger, growing youth unemployment, economic instability, and entrenched corruption.
As 2027 approaches, Kwankwaso unveiled plans to work with progressive-minded Nigerians across the country to build a broad political coalition that would disrupt the current political order. He explained that this movement would rise above ethnic, religious, and regional lines, rallying citizens around a shared vision for hope, change, and development.
“Our goal is not just to defeat APC in 2027 but to rebuild Nigeria from the ruins it has been plunged into by years of failed leadership,” Kwankwaso declared.
