PGF GOVERNORS CONSOLE KEBBI STATE OVER MAGA SCHOOL ABDUCTION, REAFFIRM SUPPORT FOR NATIONAL SECURITY EFFORTS.

The Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, joined his counterparts in the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) on a condolence visit to the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, following the tragic abduction of schoolchildren in Maga. The visit underscored the Forum’s collective sorrow and its firm condemnation of the heinous act that has shaken families and communities across the state.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Forum expressed deep grief over the incident, describing the abduction as a cruel and unacceptable assault on innocent children and the nation’s conscience. The governors empathized with the families affected by the tragedy, reaffirming their solidarity with the people of Kebbi State during this painful and uncertain period.
In their remarks, the PGF members pledged unwavering support for ongoing national security efforts. They reiterated their confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership as he coordinates security agencies tasked with rescuing the abducted pupils and ensuring that those responsible face the full weight of the law.
Governor Uzodimma and the Forum emphasized that the safety of Nigerian children remains a non-negotiable priority, calling for sustained collaboration and vigilance to prevent future occurrences of such distressing attacks.
