Photo of the 41-year-old woman, Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, who was discovered dead in a suspected suicide inside the auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Prayer City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, has surfaced.

Ekwutosblog on Sunday, July 20, 2025, reported that the incident reportedly occurred on Friday morning and was initially flagged by the church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere.

According to Ekikere, he received a distress call at approximately 7:20 a.m. alerting him to an unresponsive woman lying on the floor of the church auditorium.

Upon arriving at the scene, he found the woman motionless, with an empty bottle of a suspected poisonous substance—believed to be a popular pesticide (name withheld)—lying beside her.

It was gathered that police officers visited the scene, documented it with photographs, and later transferred the body to the Real Divine Hospital morgue for autopsy.

When Sharareporters   contacted the Ogun State Police Command, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Omolola Odutola, for comment via her mobile phone, the police spokesperson said the police have yet to establish the actual cause of Ikuenobe’s death.

“It is a negative impression people are circulating around the state,” Odutola said.

“The police are yet to establish her actual cause of death, and you know no family would want them or their people to be associated with such sentiment.”
