President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with Lagos APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, and members of the Lagos State House of Assembly at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.
This meeting follows a significant development in Lagos state politics, particularly after the impeachment of former Lagos state House of Assembly speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, which occurred about two months ago.
Ekwutosblog recalls that Obasa’s impeachment was reportedly linked to allegations of highhandedness, gross misconduct, and poor leadership. The Governance Advisory Council (GAC) was said to have played a key role in his impeachment.
President Tinubu’s meeting with the GAC and APC leaders may be part of efforts to address the political crisis in Lagos state.
Previously, Tinubu had reportedly intervened in the rift between Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obasa.
