Portable Settles Fine, Avoids Jail Term
Nigerian singer Portable has avoided a 3-month prison sentence by paying a ₦30,000 fine imposed by a Magistrate Court in Ogun State.
He was found guilty of conspiracy to assault and unlawful assault, stemming from a 2022 incident.
The court initially sentenced him to one month in prison with a ₦10,000 fine for conspiracy and two months with a ₦20,000 fine for assault. Portable opted to pay the fine instead of serving the jail term.
