Dr. Abdullahi Bello, Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), is urging Nigerians to take a stand against corruption by reporting public officials who suddenly begin to live lavish lifestyles inconsistent with their known income.

During a visit to the Nigerian Tribune office in Abuja, he emphasized the Bureau’s mandate to investigate, prosecute, and hold accountable those who fail to declare assets or violate public service ethics.

“These individuals are often unknown until they enter office — then suddenly, wealth appears. We must ask questions,” he said.

CCB National Commissioner Hon. Ehiozuwa Johnson Agbonayinma added, “There’s a new sheriff in town,” while warning public officials against false or incomplete asset declarations.

It’s time to shine a light on accountability. Let integrity lead.
