REV. DR. UMA UKPAI GOES HOME IN GLORIOUS TRANSITION AT 80.

With hearts full of gratitude, the Christian community in Nigeria and across the world celebrates the triumphant homegoing of Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, who passed on to glory on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80. A faithful soldier of the cross, Rev. Ukpai’s transition marks the end of an era of fiery evangelism, dynamic teaching of the Word, and prophetic demonstrations of God’s power that spanned more than six decades.

Throughout his remarkable ministry, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai touched millions of lives and transformed countless destinies, both within Nigeria and around the globe. He was widely regarded as a spiritual general, a founding father of faith, a devoted husband and father, and a mentor to many. His life stood as a living testimony to the power and love of God.

While his physical presence will be deeply missed, the faithful rejoice that Rev. Ukpai has finished his race and now rests in eternal glory, joining the saints in everlasting praise. The family has announced that details of the obsequies will be communicated in due course.

In their message, the family expressed profound gratitude to God for Rev. Ukpai’s extraordinary life and enduring legacy. They described his journey as one that exemplified the Apostle Paul’s words in Philippians 1:21:

“For to me, to live is

Christ, and to die is gain.”

Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai’s name remains immortalized in the annals of global evangelism — a true general of faith who lived and died in service to his Creator.
