Rivers State High Court resumes normal sittings September 18

The Rivers State Judiciary has announced that the High Court of Rivers State will resume normal sittings on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

The Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, had earlier directed judges of the High Court to proceed on their annual vacation, which ran from Monday, July 21 to Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

During the vacation, Justice Amadi appointed some judges to serve as vacation judges to handle urgent matters.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Chief Registrar of the High Court of Rivers State, David Ihua Maduenyi, urged members of the public to take note of the resumption date and continue their normal business at the court.
