Chioma Ifemeludike, the AAC candidate for the upcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election, has questioned the performance of Governor Charles Soludo, especially regarding his promise to turn Anambra into a “Dubai-Taiwan” project.
During an interview with Channels Television, she criticized the current administration for failing in key areas such as security, power supply, and development.
Governance is serious business,” Chioma said. People’s lives depend on it, but the current government failed to act fast or effectively. She mentioned the rising insecurity in Anambra, pointing out cases like the kidnapping and killing of Justice Azuka and a banker named Ify. She added that many innocent people — including clergy and everyday citizens — have been kidnapped or killed, and no one has been held responsible.
Chioma stressed that the most important job of any government is to protect lives and property. “On this, Soludo failed,”
She also spoke about the lack of steady electricity in the state, saying that poor power supply has affected businesses and industries. According to her, this failure goes against the Governor’s earlier promises to industrialize Anambra.
“He said he’s going to make Anambra State a Dubai Taiwan project; this is after 3 years, governor, where is our Dubai Taiwan project?” she asked. Chioma described the state capital as underdeveloped and filled with hungry and frustrated people, far from the mega city dream promised
