Speaker House Of Representatives Abbas And Deputy Kalu Celebrate First Lady at 65

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen commends the First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for choosing the occasion of her birthday to strengthen education especially among the less privileged through the ‘Oluremi at 65 Education Fund’.

Describing the First Lady as the Mother of the Nation, Speaker Abbas notes that President Bola Tinubu could not have had a better partner than his wife who is equally an icon of democracy.

The Speaker eulogised the First Lady as an experienced lawmaker, a sound politician and a philanthropist of repute whose pet projects and empowerment programmes have touched many lives.

Similarly, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu commends the First Lady for throwing her weight behind the reserved seats bill which seeks to address and overcome gender disparities and ensure women’s inclusion in governance.

He says parliament is proud of the First Lady’s achievements while she served in the Senate, urging her to continue setting examples for women in leadership and governance.
