This image shows Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, a Nigerian military officer who served as the Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters, from 1977 to 1979.
He rose to the rank of Major General during his 18-year career in the Nigerian Army.
Following his military career, he became a prominent politician and was jailed in 1992 for contravening laws regarding active politics.
He later spearheaded the political organization that supported his brother, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, who eventually became President of Nigeria.
