VIDEO: ‘Portable under spiritual attack’ – Elder sister claims
The elder sister of Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has publicly apologized to Nigerians for his controversial behaviour, alleging that a family member is spiritually influencing his actions.
In a viral video circulating on X, formerly known as Twitter, the woman identified herself as Portable’s elder sister and expressed gratitude to the singer for his generosity. She revealed that he had supported her during a critical health challenge, ensuring her treatment and recovery.
She accused a certain family member, identified as Akeem, of being responsible for Portable’s erratic behavior. According to her, Akeem has also been targeting her, and she urged the public to hold him accountable if anything happened to her or the singer.
In her words:
“People of Nigeria, I greet you. Regarding my younger brother, I am his elder sister, the first child of his mother. She gave birth to three children.
Portable has never stolen. No one helped us in the past, but when he started making money, he took care of us.
I’ve never spoken out like this before, and he hasn’t even posted me despite being his sister. When I had health issues, Portable sent money for my treatment, even while he was in London.
Portable is the one taking care of the family. If not for him, I would have died.
If anything happens to me, Akeem is responsible. He is the one influencing Portable, making him misbehave and offend Nigerians.”
Following the video’s circulation, Nigerians took to the comment section to express their opinions:
@smdd150: “She urges Nigerians to understand that Portable is not inherently a bad person and that his actions are being influenced by external forces.”
@ndictmedia: “Portable’s elder sister has just stated the obvious here. We don forgive Portable already, the family member should calm down with the superficial powers first.”
@yalawoman: “After una no train am well, una go de blame village people.”

The social media accounts, Facebook and Instagram of popular Nigerian musician and activist Eedris Abdulkareem have been suspended by the management of the microblogging site Meta.
It was gathered that his accounts were flagged and taken down, with no access, less than a week after the music star released a new single titled “Open Letter to Donald Trump.”

Released under his label, Lakreem Entertainment, on TikTok on November 29, 2025, the song is described as both a message to the US President and a sharp critique of Nigeria’s political elite.
Abdulkareem describes Nigerian leaders as “criminals of all shades and hues” who enrich themselves while citizens suffer amid severe insecurity, including kidnappings, killings, and terrorism.
While singing “dem dey fear Donald Trump,” the rapper positions the song as an effort to bring global attention to Nigeria’s deepening crises.
