The Executive Chairman of Obowo Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Obioma Johnson Ehirim, has revealed the council’s plans to commence the construction of a 12-office block administrative building at the Otoko Council Headquarters.
Speaking on the motivation behind the project, Hon. Ehirim described the current shortage of office spaces within the council complex as an administrative embarrassment inherited from past administrations—one his leadership is determined to resolve.
“We intend to checkmate the embarrassment of office shortage in the Otoko Council Complex. We met it that way, but we won’t leave it that way,”
he stated confidently.
Hon. Ehirim emphasized that the project aligns with the grassroot developmental policies of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, whose administration has consistently supported efforts toward institutional growth, local government efficiency, and infrastructural development.
> “This project will boost effective administrative functions as captured in Governor Uzodimma’s blueprint for grassroots development. The Governor has given us every necessary support to achieve this,”
he added.
The proposed 12-office block will serve as a modern hub for administrative operations, enabling civil servants to work more efficiently, improving public service delivery, and reinforcing the dignity of local government institutions in Obowo.
Hon. Ehirim reassured the people of Obowo that his administration remains committed to transforming the council headquarters and delivering projects that reflect transparency, accountability, and progress.
