We Women Must Submit in Marriage — Pastor Eno Jerry Eze

Published

on

Wife of Popular Nigerian cleric, Eno Jerry Eze, has sparked reactions online following her remarks on submission and respect in relationships.

Speaking during a recent sermon, the pastor emphasized that submission remains an important virtue for women in relationships and marriage.

“Anything anybody wants to tell you let them tell you but see this word submission, we must submit as women. We must!”

She expressed concern over what she described as increasing cases of public disrespect between couples, particularly among younger women.

“I see women, young girls, 28, 27, 29, 32, I am counseling them. If you see the way they are eyeing the man, that’s disrespect. If you see them disrespect in front of me, what will they be doing when they are with him alone?”

According to her, the way partners treat each other openly often reflects what happens behind closed. She noted that if a woman can openly insult or disrespect her partner in public, it raises questions about how she behaves with him privately.

Pastor Eno added that respect and proper conduct are essential for building healthy and lasting relationships, urging women to embrace values that promote peace and stability in their homes.

After plea bargain in N2.4bn fraud case, ex-minister Oduah set for Senate contest

Published

Just a week after it was announced that former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, has entered a plea bargain arrangement with the Federal Government over allegations of N2.4 billion fraud hanging over her neck, she has declared her intention to run for Senate in the 2027 election.

Oduah, a former minister, served as senator representing Anambra North on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

She has been standing trial, alongside two co-defendants, in a fraud related case.

During the last hearing on the matter, prosecuting lawyer and Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation, DPPF, Rotimi Oyedepo, SAN, announced before Justice Hamza Muazu of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, that Oduah had entered a please bargain and started making refunds to the Federal Government.

Oyedepo said: “The defendants have made a move to refund a certain amount of the money into the government coffers.”

He was not specific about the amount the defendants have refunded, but Oduah’s lawyer, Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN, confirmed what Oyedepo said.

Surprisingly, days after this announcement, Oduah’s posters announcing her intention to run for Senate has flooded parts of Anambra State and the internet space.

It was also learnt that Oduah has already oiled her political machinery, with plans to use the Anambra State ruling party, All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as a vehicle to accomplish her ambition.

She had attempted to run for the same position in 2023 on the APGA platform but later rescinded the decision after she found out that wife of then governor of the state, Mrs Ebele Obiano, was in the race on same party platform.

This time the former minister will be challenging two top members of the party for the ticket. They are Mr Primus Odili, the former Chief of Staff to Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, who is considered the most popular and acceptable, and Dr Alex Obiogbolu, Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Special Adviser on Political Matters.

Ekwutosblog  was however unable to speak with Oduah to confirm her ambition, but one of her media aides, who pleaded anonymity, said: “Madam is preparing big for next year’s election.”

ZOO IS BETTER THAN NIGERIA; NIGERIA IS NOT A ZOO BUT A JUNGLE -Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka National President Ohanaeze Youth Council OYC

In my days as a philosophy student when I came across the work of one great philosopher Deede Thomas Hobbes, his philosophical description of man in the State of Nature reflected in me about the state of this contraption called Nigeria.
In Thomas Hobbes’ state of nature the “Leviathan” Superman is a hypothetical, pre-political condition of absolute freedom and anarchy, characterized by a “war of every man against every man.” In the State of Nature there’s no Unity power or authority, no common power, human life is “Solitary, poor, Nasty, Brutish, and Short,” driven by fear, competition, and self-preservation. No human is sure of his or her State of life tomorrow. Like in Nigeria where security of lives and properties is not guaranteed. We live fear and uncertainty in Nigeria!

In the state of nature, like Nigeria there’s”War of All Against All” Due to the absence of a sovereign authority, no one is safe, and conflict is constant. Like Nigeria has lost its sovereign mature, because non State actors determine the security situation. None States actors, bandits, Boko Haram, Kidnappers, Unknown Gunmen, Fulani Herdsmen killers are pampered. While Genuine Agitator Mazi Nnamdi Kanu leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB)was illegally abducted incarcerated by Late Mohammadu Buhari tyrannical government and jailed because of his tribe by Bola Ahmed Tinubu tribalistic Government.

In Nigeria Life is “Solitary, Poor, Nasty, Brutish, and Short”: Without industry(high Unemployment) agriculture (high cost of living and hunger), navigation, or arts, people live in constant fear of violent death.

In Nigeria like in the State of Nature Natural Right to Everything: Everyone has a right to all things, including the lives of others, for the sake of survival. For sake of survival Bandit, Fulani Herdsmen killers, Unknown Gunmen, Boko Haram have the right to feed on the flesh of the people, killing people and harvesting their organs. This is the right people enjoy in Nigeria, the right to kill others and be negotiating and pampered by the Government. Islamic Cleric Gumi have said Nigeria Government knows the terrorist by name and location. Oh What an interesting Jungle Republic of Nigeria!

In the state of Nature like Nigeria No Justice or Property Ownership: Because there is no law, there is no inherent injustice or personal property; only strength and fraud prevail. A Governor or minister in this Jungle called Nigeria can wake up and Destroy people’s properties.

There’s a Jungle administration going on in Anambra State now. One Jungle Professor Chukwuma Soludo that has education certificates papers without common knowledge of peace and conflicts resolution is destroying people’s Shops at Main Market Onitsha.

In Lagos the jungle Governor known as Babajide Sanwo-Olu Target the business of Ndigbo for destruction. Like in animals Kingdom Lions will gather against Antelope, Yorubas will gather against Ndigbo in Lagos destroying Igbo businessmen. Oh What a Jungle!

In Nigeria like the Natural State Causes of Conflicts are Driven by competition (for political and economic gain), diffidence (for safety/mistrust), and glory (for reputation). In Nigeria the Jungle leaders instigate the crisis for political sustenance and reigning decades in power.

Nigeria leaders Escape through Social Contracts like the state of nature, no accountability, credibility and transparency. It’s a political taboo for the masses to demand accountability or transparency in this Jungle country called Nigeria.

If Nigeria’s political history has failed to enlighten us about its fundamental problems, indicating that Nigeria is irredeemable irreconcilable and Irreparable then we are unenlightened and misinformed individuals with educational qualifications yet without knowledge and wisdom.

We will keep dying until Nigeria is disintegrated. Our viable option is Referendum or Plebiscite.

INNOCHRIS FOUNDER SIR INNOCENT ONUOHA DIES AT 71

Grief has swept through the business and faith communities following the passing of Sir Innocent Chinedu Onuoha, the respected entrepreneur and Executive Chairman of InnoChris Group. He died peacefully in his sleep on December 11, 2025, at his home in Lagos. He was 71.

Born in 1954 in Umuoma Umuaro II Autonomous Community, Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Onuoha grew to become a symbol of enterprise, generosity, and unwavering faith. A devoted member and evangelist in the Anglican Communion, he lived a life that blended business success with service to God and humanity.

Long before many came to know his vast business interests, the name Innochris had already echoed in popular culture. In the 1990s, legendary Ogene music maestro Oliver De Coque famously chanted “Ugbo ndi oma Innochris eh!” in one of his songs — a line that celebrated the Onuoha brothers and helped make Sir Innocent Onuoha and his brother Christian Onugha widely known during that era.

Onuoha’s entrepreneurial journey began after years of professional experience working as secretary to a former Chief Engineer at Flour Mills of Nigeria. With determination and vision, he went on to establish InnoChris Group, a conglomerate that grew to include InnoChris Transport, InnoChris Computers, and InnoChris Spare Parts, serving customers across Nigeria.
