Anambra Police Warn Against Incitement After VDM’s Visit To Ogbo ogwu Drug Market, Onitsha.

The Anambra State Police Command has raised concerns about rising online incitements by individuals outside the state, warning that it could disturb public peace and discredit security efforts.
This followed a visit by Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, to Ogbo ogwu, an open drug (medication) market in the Onitsha area of the state
VDM, flanked by traders in the video threatened to lead a protest against the agency for its lack of transparency, alleged extortion and failure to prosecute suspects publicly, found selling fake medications.
However, the police authority in Anambra considered his visit and use of social media as threatening and inciteful.the Command said;
”Some individuals who are not based in Anambra use social media under the guise of human rights activism to incite the public against government agencies, the police, and other security agencies,”
The Anambra Police said it remains committed to upholding law and order across the state and called on residents to resist efforts to incite violence or unrest.

‘Kill 10, 20 will rise’ – Bandit leader dares security forces in Katsina

A notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Ummaru, has warned that government military operations targeting bandits could exacerbate insecurity, asserting that any attempt to kill 10 bandits would lead to 20 more emerging in retaliation, while killing 30 could trigger further unrest in cities and villages.
Ummaru made the remarks on Saturday during a peace dialogue between bandit groups and community leaders in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State.
He urged security operatives to exercise restraint, emphasizing that the dialogue process would only succeed if all parties approached it in good faith.
The meeting, convened to foster peace and reconciliation, comes amid renewed efforts by stakeholders to curb banditry across Katsina and neighbouring states.
Community elders attending the dialogue also called on both bandit groups and security agencies to commit to genuine peace to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
