The Nigeria Police Force through the PRO CSP Benjamin Hundeyin has issued a strong clarification regarding widespread misinformation surrounding the enforcement of the Motor Vehicle Tinted Glass Law. In a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin on his Facebook Page, the police emphasized that the enforcement of the law remains intact and will officially commence on Thursday, October 2, 2025, as earlier announced.

According to CSP Hundeyin, it has come to the attention of the Police that certain misleading claims are circulating, suggesting that the enforcement has been halted. He categorically dismissed such reports, stressing that only a valid order of a competent court of law can suspend or stop the enforcement of an existing law.

He explained further that the mere service of court papers on the Police does not, in any way, amount to a court order. For this reason, he urged members of the public not to be misinformed or deceived by such unfounded rumors. “Only an order of court can stop the enforcement of an existing law. There is no such order,” the statement read.

The Nigeria Police Force, through its national command structure, therefore reaffirmed

its resolve to commence full enforcement of the Motor Vehicle Tinted Glass Law on Thursday, October 2, 2025, without hindrance.

He repeatedly begged: “Good morning sir, I am very, very sorry. Please forgive me. It was content. I didn’t know it would reach this level… I have nobody. No father, no mother. Please sir, I’m begging you with the God you serve. Forgive me.”

This comes hours after Senator Ned Nwoko announced he had instructed his lawyers to petition security agencies over ongoing cyber harassment and defamation targeted at him.
