Days before the tragedy, Govender said Munsamy’s brother arrived unexpectedly at her home to discuss rumours he had heard about her personal life.

During the visit, she opened up about the difficulties she had experienced during her marriage.

She later realised Munsamy had been sitting in the vehicle during the conversation. Govender claimed he suddenly emerged and stopped his brother from continuing the discussion.

A Nigerian man has cried out for urgent help after allegedly being attacked at his home by a group of men, claiming the assault occurred following his renouncement of Islam.

In a chilling video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) by @ChukEricE, the man could be heard screaming for assistance as the men reportedly tried to force their way into his home.

In his words, he said:

“Please help me, help me. They are breaking my door. Please help me. I said I wasn’t doing Islam again, that was my offense. Please help me.”

The footage shows the men attempting to break down his door, with one reportedly saying they should find a better way to bring the iron door down.

The man said his declaration to leave Islam triggered the alleged attack, raising serious concerns about freedom to choose one’s beliefs.

Social media users have expressed shock and outrage.

One wrote, “This is horrifying! No one should be attacked for changing their faith.” Another added, “Religious freedom must be respected. This is unacceptable.”

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), better known as Shiites, took to the streets of Niger State on Sunday to protest the reported killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
